At O'Kane Global Sourcing, we follow a proven step-by-step process to help businesses source high-quality custom sewn products from China, Vietnam & Thailand with full transparency, communication, and confidence. Here’s what to expect:
Your journey starts with a discovery call or email. We evaluate whether your sewn goods project is a good fit based on scale, feasibility, and product type. If it looks promising, we share a project summary with our Hong Kong office for review. Their initial feedback—including questions or concerns—is shared with you before we decide to move forward. We value your time and won’t pursue a project unless we’re confident it’s viable.
You’ll send us product samples, tech packs, or detailed spec sheets to our New Hampshire office, which are then forwarded to our Hong Kong team. International shipping typically takes about 5 business days.
Once your materials arrive, our Hong Kong staff will confirm receipt and reach out with any clarification questions to ensure a full understanding of your custom sewn product requirements.
We source quotes only from trusted factories in China, Vietnam & Thailand with whom we’ve built long-term relationships. These vendors specialize in sewn goods manufacturing and are thoroughly vetted for quality, ethics, and consistency.
Once we receive the factory quotes, our U.S. office calculates your total landed cost—including freight, tariffs, customs, and cargo insurance. We provide transparent pricing so there are no surprises.
You’ll receive a clear, detailed quote. In most cases, we quote a full landed cost so you know the exact price delivered to your door—ideal for companies who want cost certainty when importing sewn goods from China, Vietnam & Thailand.
Upon price approval, we create a “size and workmanship” sample to demonstrate construction quality and attention to detail. While this sample may not reflect final colors or materials, it confirms that we understand the product and can produce it to your specifications.
Once you approve the sample and final pricing, it's time to move forward. You’ll issue a Purchase Order (PO) so we can initiate the next steps.
Our team begins sourcing and purchasing all necessary custom materials—such as fabrics, trims, labels, and packaging components. This process generally takes about 30 days.
After receiving all production materials, we create a final pre-production sample—the “perfect version” of your product. No mass production will begin until you approve this sample in full.
Once your pre-production sample is approved, a 50% deposit is required to kick off the production run.
Your products move into full production. This typically takes 30 days, depending on product complexity and quantity.
Upon completion, we arrange for overseas shipment. Transit time from Hong Kong to the U.S. East Coast usually takes another 30 days. We manage all aspects of the logistics process to ensure a smooth delivery.
